PromptShifu exists to make AI prompt management effortless, private, and portable. We believe that the prompts you craft are valuable intellectual property—they deserve a secure home that works across ChatGPT, Midjourney, Claude, DeepSeek, and any future AI tool you adopt.
Our mission is to give every AI practitioner a side-panel command center where they can organize, refine, and inject prompts without leaving the workflow, without uploading data to the cloud, and without paying for features that should be free.
Privacy is not a feature—it is the foundation of PromptShifu. The extension stores all prompts, variables, settings, and usage history locally in your browser using IndexedDB and Chrome Extension storage APIs.
Zero cloud uploads by default. We do not run a backend that reads your prompt library. Your data never transits through our servers. Optional Google Drive sync is available for backup and cross-device use, and it uses your own Google account via OAuth with the minimum required scopes.
Side-panel quick access. PromptShifu lives in the browser side panel, so your prompt library is one click away while you work with your favorite AI platforms. No tab switching, no copy-paste fatigue.
PromptShifu is built by a small, distributed team of AI practitioners, designers, and privacy-focused engineers. We are active in the AI tooling community and ship updates based on real user feedback.
